Raise your hand if you are coffee drinker!
We are a caffeine nation, there's no question about it. CBS News says that more than 50% of us drink coffee everyday and some of us drink at least a pot of coffee a day (guilty). If I don't get enough coffee in the morning, I get to bitchin' real hard--I guess that's why I decided to post here today!
The first thing I do in the mornings when I get to the station is make a pot of coffee. That's usually at about 4:30am or so. I know, early, right?
Getting that coffee in the morning is great! With my sleepy face, just popping open that can of Foldgers gives me a lift. It's the best part of waking up, right? Usually in the early hours I'm the only one in the building drinking the delicious brew. Everyone else sticks to sugary soda. That means I get to keep the coffee to my self until the sales staff gets in the building, then this type of thing happens.

Amazingly, the past couple of days, there has been a pot of coffee already made ... a nice fresh pot! But, that also means there's another coffee drinker in the early morning which means that I'm competing to get a fresh cup during commercial breaks.
When at the station in the early morning, doing things for several different stations, including writing the Music Minute blog and ensuring we've got a good eye on traffic and other breaking news, it's important that the coffee pot be full up on coffee so when I need it, I can just get it!
That hasn't been the case since the mystery pot has been brewed. The past couple of days I have been out of luck getting a warm up on my coffee and had to resort to get the bottom of the barrel (pot) coffee which tastes like motor oil. Someone isn't re-upping the coffee! It's one of those pet-peve things like leaving the toilet seat up or eating someone's food in the fridge or crop dusting without warning.
Who do I blame for not getting another fresh pot of coffee going? Dawg! That's who! And you can tell him I said so! :D
Oh, and here's a gem if you haven't seen it, Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters was freaking out about having fresh pots of coffee while recording with Them Crooked Vultures and his rants were caught on video.

Yeah, I pretty much feel Dave's pain there. I need a fresh pot to be productive. Now, if you don't share this post with your coffee drinking friends, bad thinks may happen to you!
