Apparently there is a large ocean-worthy vessel that has decided to take to the open seas following the historic route the Titanic set out for a century ago. This month is the 100 year anniversary of that fateful launch.
Really? Some captain thought that would be a good idea? What could possibly go wrong?
Who came up with that ridiculous idea? James Cameron? Nope, he's busy taking a dunk to the deepest part of the ocean. How'd that turn out?
Seriously, this Titanic Memorial Cruise ship just set out to follow the Titanic's trail. And they are on course. Well, not so fast! From the Associated Press:
The Titanic Memorial Cruise — on its way to the North Atlantic site where the Titanic hit an iceberg and sank 100 years ago — had to turn back briefly to the Irish coast so that a sick passenger could be airlifted to a hospital.
I'm not sure what outcome organizers are looking for, but maybe it was to give history the big middle finger.
Seriously ... What the hell?
Really, though, someone probably got onto the ship not knowing what was going on, and once they heard they were on a remembrance cruise for the Titanic, they probably rushed to get off the boat thinking they had gotten mixed up in a death cult.
