A sad sign of the times or just a classic finally catching up to the times?
Scrabble's dictionary has officially added 5,000 new words making those words 'official' for use in the game. This way your grandmother can't fight you anymore over the word 'bromance.'
And yes, that is one of the new words added. Also in the new set:
- Chillax (if lined up right can get your 400+ points)
- Buzzkill (oh... so soon?)
- Dubstep (yep, that's in there too)
The latest edition of the Dictionary from Merriam-Webster, featuring the above listed words, goes on sale August 11. The book will also feature variant spellings for words that can be used in the game as well as "expended coverage of Canadian and British words."
Side note: Wish my spell check would update with these words too.
