Tomorrow's Record Store Day
If you’re as confused as I am as to which day is Record Store Day, don’t worry … this will help you out … or maybe not. Tomorrow is Record Store Day. There was just a Record Store Day this past Black Friday—the day that traditionally starts the Christmas Shopping season (it’s OK that I said Christmas and not ‘holiday,’ right?). That was just after Thanksgiving last year … in November. But now artists are revving up for the new and improved Record Store Day with Jack white selling a vinyl single with some kind of gimmick where the disc will have some blue liquid inside. You’ll only be able to pick that up in Nashville at White’s Third Man Records. Other artists will have some offerings at other independent record stores including Ozzy, 311, and Garbage. New season Sunday
Honk your horn if you’re a fan of Dethklok! The metal band that inspired the cartoon “Metalocalypse” (or was it the other way around?) has a new season coming out and there will be some special guests voicing characters in the show. Soundgarden and 3 Inches of Blood will join the team for episodes this season which premiers Sunday on Adult Swim. Co-creator and guitarist/vocalist for Dethklok, Brendon Small, has some music coming out you may want to give a listen.
