Announcement today
Over the weekend, rumors of a Deftones/System Of A Down tour were bolstered by pics posted by each of the band’s Twitter accounts. One pic showed Deftones front man Chino Marino holding up a System Of A Down tour pass. The other pic showed the bassist of System holding up a Deftones tour pass. Both pics came with a message that there would be some kind of announcement today. We expect a huge announcement! We’ll keep you posted on that one for sure! System Of A Down has been on a 5-year hiatus but recently played Rock In Rio where they hinted as possibly working on some new music, but no confirmation. Deftones have been touring off and on, headlining and as support for other acts and it’s reported the band is hitting up the studio for a release later this year. The band will record again with Sergio Vega as Chi Cheng remains in a semi-comatose state after an accident in 2008.

Let the waterworks begin! Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler took time out from being a super busy rock star/American Idol judge in order to sing a song with a 10-year-old cancer patient. Cole Grace, the kid who was diagnosed with a brain tumor and has had several brain surgeries, got hooked up with Tyler via Skype where the two chatted and even sang “Walk This Way” together. During a recent American Idol episode, Cole also got a shout out from Tyler. Doesn’t it just warm the cockles of your heart! Watch a news report talking about the story below:
