It's all (almost all) on tape ... and online
Besides the leaking of classified information—being able to watch full pro-shot videos of some of your favorite bands online just hours after they perform in far off countries is the next best thing the Internet has to offer. If you were unable to make it down to Rock AM Ring in Germany over the weekend, I don’t blame you. Online right now are some performances from Marilyn Manson. Also circulating online is the full two-hour performance of Metallica at Rock AM Ring. One of the great things about the Metallica performance is they played their entire Black Album in front of a live audience.
In studio
Stone Sour has tapped Skid Row bassist Rachel Bolan to be on the next album. But don’t fret children; once Corey Taylor is done with that album, he’s set to head into the studio with Slipknot early next year. Meanwhile, a pic posted online shows some action in the studio where Skid Row’s Bolan laid down the first bass tracks. Expect new Stone Sour out sometime in October.
Releasing videos tomorrow
Speaking Skit Row, former front man Sebastian Bach will be battling with Bret Michaels for attention this week as both artists debut videos of their projects. Bach will release a video for “I’m Still Alive” today. Michaels will release a video for “Get Your Rock On” Tomorrow.
