A ton of artists are coming to the support of Lamb of God front man Randy Blythe. Blythe is held up in the Czech Republic after a fan that rushed him three times on stage died after falling off the stage when Blythe pushed him. That happened in 2010. Blythe was arrested last week. Artists who remember all too clearly the on-stage shooting death of Dimebag Darrel are coming to Blythe’s defense saying that people should expect entertainers on-stage to put up a defense if getting rushed by “fans.” Some who’ve come out in support include Disturbed’s David Draiman, Anthrax’s Scott Ian, Slash, Sebastian Bach, members of DevilDriver, Lacuna Coil, Hatebreed and others. Even the front man of Gwar is sounding the alarm and criticizing the American media for remaining silent on this whole deal. The victim from the 2010 incident died of a brain hemorrhage 14 days after falling off stage. Blythe could get up to 10 years in prison and had to post $200,000 bail. He remains in a Czech Republic prison.
Who needs an appendix anyway?
Meanwhile, Slipknot’s Jim Root had a bit of a medical emergency but he’s alright. His stupid appendix burst … and he didn’t know it. The band says that Root has been seriously sick for a couple of weeks and then went to the hospital where doctors told him the two-week old pain was from a burst appendix. Dude, that could have killed you! Of course surgery must happen. You don’t just poop that out. Slipknot plans on continuing their tour and will welcome Root back when he’s able to kick ass on stage again.
