Gaming with Linkin Park
Another video game will feature music written by rock stars. This time Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda scores music for the forthcoming “Medal of Honor Warfighter” and the whole band will have a song called “Castle of Glass” featured on the game’s soundtrack. A video for the tune will feature footage from the game. Expect to pick up “Medal of Honor Warfighter” October 23rd.
First-ever Black Metal game
Speaking of video games—the first ever Black Metal video game has been released for the iPhone. Earlier this week the game Black Metal Man was released in the app store. The game is an endless runner in which the character is constantly running from the light. Naturally the game was crated in Norway—the home of some of the most brutal Black Metal.
ZZ Top's beards are older than they are
Who says their too old to rock? ZZ Top plans a comeback with their forthcoming album “La Futura.” It’ll be the first album from the duo in 9 years and is scheduled to drop in stores September 11th. Guitarist and long-beard Billy Gibbons says that the album will highlight some of the band’s directness from the early days but that doesn’t mean they’ll shun newer music technology. ZZ Top has been around for 42 years.
Kid Rockin' the race
Kid Rock wants to start the race and coming up August 19th, he’ll get that chance when he takes to the Michigan International Speedway to make the announcement for the Pure Michigan 400 NASCAR race. He’s already practicing screaming in his best Kid Rock voice “Gentlemen, Start Your Engines.”
