He’s back at home after a long grueling saga of being held in a Prague jail for several months. Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe was let out on bail after being held on manslaughter charges. In 2010, a fan jumped up on stage three different times during a Lamb of God show. The third time he was thrown off the stage he hit his head and died ten days later. Prosecutors in Prague say that Blythe was the one who threw the fan off the stage. Though Blythe is free, he still must face trial. The band recently canceled their tour with Dethklok because of the imprisonment. But now Lamb of God is getting back to work with an appearance at Knotfest for both dates, August 17th and 18th. There are also reports that Lamb of God plans a headlining tour this fall. He’s gotta pay for legal expenses some how.
Unreal stage show
Metallica is going a bit overboard with their stage shows … but it surely will be a big draw for all you pyros. Video has surfaced online showing parts of the band’s stage show. The Mexico City concert from late last month included a center-arena stage with all kinds of moving parts. One 8-minute video featuring multiple angles of fan shot footage shows the insane amount of special effects, including faux air raids, explosions, machine gun fire, a 3 story high Lady Justice statue being built up and then torn down and so much more.
