Scott Stapp in deep thought
Creed front man Scott Stapp is planning a tell-all autobiography that he says will explain all the things he did that got such terrible press. The book called Sinner’s Creed will be out October 2nd. Stapp plans to talk about his abusive childhood, his suicide attempts, his out-of-control alcoholism and his all the lurid details about being a rock star. Creed will be at the Illinois State Fair Grandstand this Thursday with Theory of a Deadman and Adelita’s Way. Don’t forget, WQLZ will be just across the street from the Grandstand with the Coors Tent. So stop by and hang out before the show.
Motley Crue did it and now it’s time for Guns ‘N Roses to give it a shot. Axl and the band have announced they’re taking up a residency in Las Vegas where they will play 12 shows beginning October 3rd. The shows will run through November 24th. It’s being dubbed “Appetite for Democracy” because they will cover everything from Appetite for Destruction to Chinese Democracy. Let’s just hope Axl can show up on stage on time.
Knotfest kicks off this Friday in Pacific Junction, Iowa, and Corey Taylor hopes it’s the beginning of a good thing. There are only two dates this year with the second being in Somerset, Wisconsin, but Taylor told the Des Moines Register that he hopes in the years to come they’ll bust out a thirty-date festival tour, with or without Slipknot on the ticket. He also reiterated that the band is working on new material, but fans shouldn’t expect them to quickly release anything. All band members are gonna have input on the Slipknot new album.
