What the Grandstand looks like dry and empty |
Rockin' the Grandstand
Last night was rock night at the Illinois State Fair Grandstand. Adelitas Way, Theory of a Deadman and Creed played to a crowd of semi-soaked fans just hours after severe storms blew through. Because of the rain, the track was soaked so those with track tickets were not allowed to get close to the stage. Those tickets were good for seats in the bleachers. There are also unconfirmed reports that beer was not being sold inside
the grandstand last night. If that’s true … that’s bogus! UPDATE: They had the beer wagon closed before up until just before the show but were able to sell before Adelitas Way took the stage.
Uproar Festival
If you missed Adelitas Way last night at the Illinois State Fair, you’ll be able to catch them at Uproar in St. Louis this weekend. Some of you may have gotten a text yesterday from WQLZ instructing you to head over to the Coors tent to pick up some free tickets … and you’re welcome! That show is Sunday at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater featuring Adelitas Way, also Godsmack, Shinedown, Papa Roach, Staind, Fozzy, Thousand Foot Crutch, In This Moment, Redlight Kings and Mindset Evolution.
This weekend
Coming up this weekend on Full Metal Jackie, former Pantera front man Phil Anselmo will rock the airwaves where Jackie will put out new Down alongside Exodus, Machine Head, Judas Priest and more. Check out Full Metal Jackie Sunday night at 10pm.
Canceled
A&E’s Gene Simmons Reality Show is no more! The network announced that “Family Jewels” will not be renewed for next year. Believe it or not, but the show has been running for seven consecutive seasons.
