The doctor who, quote, “treated” late Slipknot bassist Paul Gray has been charged with prescribing large amounts of narcotic painkillers to eight people who overdosed, including Gray. Dr. Daniel Baldi is accused of eight counts of involuntary manslaughter according to court documents. Reports say that Dr. Baldi unintentionally caused Gray’s death by writing ‘scripts of known addictive drugs. Dr. Baldi’s attorney says they will fight the charges in court. Gray was found dead in an Iowa hotel in 2010.
Tour dates announced
Lamb of God will be taking to the road with a North American tour starting October 30th in Phoenix. November 7th, the band will be at the Pageant in St. Louis, and November 30th in Chicago at the Congress Ballroom. The band had to cancel their tour with Mastodon this summer because front man Randy Blythe was in a Prague jail facing manslaughter charges after a fan was thrown off a stage and died ten days later. Blythe has since been freed on bond but says he will return to the Czech Republic to clear his name.
MTV VMAs tonight
Does anyone watch MTV anymore? Well tonight, that’s where you’ll be able to see the Video Music Awards. Despite having to cancel a show in Italy over the weekend because front man Billy Joe Armstrong got sick, Green Day says they will perform tonight for the VMAs. The Black Keys will also perform tonight and they’re bringing the guy who danced in their “Lonely Boy” video.
