Told you yesterday about the pain doctor that is charged with over prescribing people leading to eight deaths including Slipknot bassist Paul Gray … now the band is coming out saying it brings back up the feelings of anger and sadness. In a statement, Slipknot says Dr. Daniel Baldi “took advantage of our brother’s illness while he was in a position to help others.” They’re urging for justice to be served so it won’t happen to anyone else. Baldi is facing charges including eight counts of involuntary manslaughter, including the death of Paul Gray who overdosed in an Iowa hotel in 2010.
VMA's suck, except for Green Day
And once again, the MTV VMAs was a poop fest, I mean pop fest with absolutely no good rock music winning awards. It was full of some Drakes and Minajes and even that Chris Brown character got an award. Didn’t he beat up Rihanna? Anyways, she also got an award. Seriously, why even waste the time watching that garbage—except for the Green Day performance. But tanks to the miracles of the internet, we no longer have to suffer the dregs of MTV culture to enjoy that performance. Make a point during one of your breaks this Friday to check out Green Day performing “Let Yourself Go” online.
New Pussy Riot Video
Speaking of Green Day, they get a mention alongside the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna and Bjork in a new video posted by the Russian punk rock group Pussy Riot thanking musicians around the world for their support. They also torch a huge poster of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Watch that video below or at this link.
Long live the revolution!
