Billy Joe Armstrong repordedly drunk during the I Heart Radio festival
Canceled concerts and bumped up release date
Green Day has bumped up the release of their third album in the trilogy as a way to make up to fans the cancellation of more shows. The band has called off all concerts for the rest of the year and will postpone their tour that was planned to kick off next year. Mike Dirnt, Green Day’s bassist, says that the well-being of Billie Joe Armstrong is top of mind. Armstrong is doing alright in his efforts to kick substance abuse to the curb, but it apparently is still a struggle as the band calls off a slew of dates. The third album from the trilogy, iTre! will be out December 11th. It was originally supposed to be out sometime in February of next year. iDos!, the second album in the trilogy, is still due out on it’s original release date, November 13th.
