He already plans a comic book based on the two-album concept release from Stone Sour and now Corey Taylor is tossing around the idea of making House of Gold and Bones into not just one but two different movies. Taylor says that he’s already got a film production crew ready fronted by Shaun Crahan from Slipknot. He also says he knows a bunch of super-creative people that would be perfect for this project, but he hasn’t yet hammered out all the details. House of Gold and Bones Part 1 opened up with 31,000 sales in the first week placing it at No. 7 on the Billboard 200. House of Gold and Bones Part 2 and a comic book series about the concept will be out next year.
The altered G'NR poster hanging outside the Hard Rock Hotel. Read the story from last week which also has the original artwork that sparked the controversy.
The promoter for Guns ‘N Roses residency in Las Vegas took the woman out entirely from the promotional poster after being criticized by area officials. The band got a street named after one of their songs and a county commissioner came out regretting the decision after seeing the poster for the band’s residency. The poster was a take of the Appetite for Destruction album cover which showed a distraught woman half clothed. Now there is no woman, and a sign that says welcome to Paradise City written over Sin City. Watch a news piece about the controversy below or at this link.
