Well, they’re not recording anything new, but the 20th anniversary release of Rage Against the Machine’s self-titled debut will give fans a chance to relive the beginning of the history of the band. Guitarist Tom Morello tells Billboard that the band is not recording, but fans will be able to pick up the special release titled XX later this month. Morello says that never in the history of music has there been a band as popular as Rage that has such a radical political message, and that never has a band with such a radical political message been as popular as Rage. He did say that there may be some more live CD/DVDs from the band released in the future. XX is set to drop November 27th with several different version, including an anniversary edition that will include 2 CDs and a DVD.
If you weren’t able to make this years’ KISS Kruise, maybe you’ll be able to get a feel from a 2 ½ minute video posted online. The cruise, where fans rocked out with KISS in luxury, returned from sea earlier this month. The video shows clips of the band’s many performances in and out of makeup. It also shows fans in KISS makeup, lineup for what may have been a costume contest, a scene from a belly flop contest, fans getting engaged, drinking games and concerts from other bands.
