Trial delayed
The manslaughter trial where Lamb of God singer Randy Blythe stands in defense has been delayed until March. That motion for the delay was actually requested by Blythe’s legal team because a key witness was sick and could not make the court proceedings. Blythe is expected to return to the United States until the trial resumes in less than a month. The singer is accused of throwing a fan off stage. The fan hit his head and died days after the Prague concert in 2010. Read more about the ongoing saga here.

Coming box set
Van Halen is collecting their classic recordings for a box set that will be released in March. Titled Van Halen: The Studio Albums 1978-1984, the collection features six of the bands best selling albums. That’s the era that David Lee Roth was with the band until their reunion in 2012. Expect to pick up the collection March 26th.
It's a bit fishy
Antrax’s drummer Charlie Benante is calling BS on the departure of their guitarist Rob Caggiano. It was reported a couple of months ago that Rob would be leaving the band to focus on his work as a producer. Earlier this week the Danish rockers Volbeat announced that Rob was joining their band. Benante says that it’s confusing for fans to read of Caggiano’s departure to produce … then just a few days later he hooked up with a new band. Benante calls it sketchy. Anthrax quickly grabbed up Shadows Fall guitarist Jon Donais to fill Caggiano’s shoes.
They ain't no bottom band
Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx is talking about the band’s next album and a possible farewell tour. Sixx says he wants the band to say goodbye on a high note. The bassist says he’s got a ton of new riffs and he’s sure Mick Mars does as well. There isn’t a concrete timeframe on when a new album or tour will happen, but we’ll keep you posted.
