Nine Inch Nails will get some new life this year with an extensive tour. Trent Reznor told the world at the beginning of 2012 that there’d be new How To Destroy Angels by years end with a full album out in 2013. That came true with the new album featuring Trent and his wife Mariqueen due out next week. He also said back in 2012 that fans would get to see Nine Inch Nails in 2013. With a letter posted online by Reznor, the front man says he’s rebooting the band with some past collaborators and some new members, including members from Jane’s Addiction, King Crimson and Puscifer. In the letter to Pitchfork, Reznor says “The first shows will begin this summer, followed by a full-on arena tour of the US this fall, and lots of other dates worldwide to follow through 2014.” The letter doesn’t say anything about new material, but we’re all hoping that happens. We’ll keep you posted on the latest.
Speaking of shows, it was announced earlier this year that Metallica would try to help revive Motor City as Detroit Rock City. That’s where the band will stage the Orion Music + More festival in June. Now they’ve revealed that joining Metallica will be Red Hot Chili Peppers, Deftones, Rise Against and more.
