More information is emerging from the overseas verdict of Lamb of God front man Randy Blythe. The singer was acquitted Tuesday morning in a Czech court where he was facing manslaughter charges in the death of a fan who died of head injuries days after falling from a Lamb of God stage. As reported yesterday, the three-judge panel found the singer not guilty after hearing from a slew of witnesses. One thing that didn’t make its way into the courts was a video that purportedly showed Blythe throwing the victim off the stage. Blythe and crew are expected to pick up where they left off with their first show booked this year—more are sure to follow.
Rockers from across the spectrum are coming out with feedback about Blythe’s not guilty verdict. Twitter was ablaze yesterday with everyone from Duff McKagan to Gwar’s Oderus Urungus to Pantera to Nonpoint, David Draiman and more. All had words of congratulations for the Lamb of God front man who was acquitted of murder charges in Prague Tuesday.
Shaping a shock rock tour
Though there are only two shows scheduled right now, it’s surely going to grow into something bigger. Marilyn Manson has joined up with fellow shock rocker Alice Cooper for a few shows this July. There are a few weeks in-between the two scheduled shows—one being in Utah in early June and the other Pennsylvania in late June. Does that mean there’ll be a tour stretched out between those two locations in the month of June? Being as there is already a tour posted circulating online and a Tour Terror section at Alice Coopers website, it seems certain. We’ll keep you posted on future dates.
He's not already dead?
You can chose to believe this or not, but Iggy Pop is making a comeback with his band The Stooges. The aging and shirtless punk rocker has a new single that’s streaming online called “Burn” and is expected to be featured on the forthcoming album Ready To Die due out April 30th. Listen to the new Iggy tune below or at this link.
