Walk Through Exits Only out July 16th
Solo album out soon
He's already got a storied musical career with a slew of other heavy metal bands, but now he's ready to step out front by himself. Former Pantera, Down, Superjoint Ritual front man Phil Anselmo has updated fans about the release of his forthcoming solo attempt. Anselmo co-produced the album and says it's an angry album that only he could do. It’s expected the disc to have eight songs full of fury. The album Walk Through Exits Only hits shelves July 16th.
Uproar announced ... kinda
We know the dates, but not the bands. The Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival has been announced and the touring festival will be up at Tinley Park August 22nd. It's been rocking a cross country trek for the past four years and has featured some of the biggest names in rock. The full lineup is expected April 22nd. Tickets are expected to range between 11 and 90 bones.
Another festival appearance
Nine Inch Nails has announced another festival appearance. This time it's the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco August 9-11. Trent and crew will join the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Paul McCarty as headlining acts. Earlier this week, Nine Inch Nails announced they'll appear at the Voodoo Festival in New Orleans later this year. Trent's side project with his wife Mariqueen will also appear at Voodoo. NIN will also be headlining Lollapalooza this year in Chicago.
Record Store day is just a few days out and there are even more rock offerings being announced. Wind-Up Records says they plan on releasing some rare tracks of some of their biggest acts for the April 20th, independent Record Store Day. A vinyl from the record company will have tracks from Creed, Seether, Finger Eleven, The Darkness and Young Guns, plus others.
