Sharon Sounds Off, and Good for the Plants

The WQLZ Music Minute--Music news written by Bishop for 92.7 WQLZ, The Rock Station

Sharon sounds off

Sharon Osbourne is devastated by the news that her husband relapsed a few months ago. Ozzy came clean about his recent stint dabbling in drugs and alcohol a few weeks ago, saying that he is now 44 days sober. He also told the world through a social media post that he and Sharon are not breaking up. Sharon took to her daytime TV talk show The Talk and said she’s devastated by the news and that her marriage is worth fighting for. She also said that though she is not happy about the entire deal, the tabloids distort things and she will be there to help Ozzy through his addiction problems or Ozzy will have to be taken to the hospital to get her foot removed from his ass. This all comes out as Ozzy’s band reunites for a brand new album and world tour.  Watch Sharon's statement below or at this link.

Good for the plants

So you’ve heard that talking to plants helps them grow or if you were to play some classical music in your green house your plants will be happier. Not sure how you go about measuring a plant’s happiness, but one research has found that if you play Black Sabbath music for your growing plants, they will be healthier. British gardening expert Chris Beardshaw says that his research shows that plants love the sounds of Black Sabbath. Plants were subject to four different types of music but there was the most noticeable reaction when heavier music was played. Now it’s not clear if Ozzy Sabbath or Devo Sabbath or some other variation is best. But one thing is certain … the plants that had pop music pumped into their green house ended up getting overrun with disease and pests and dying. Good to know!  Read more about playing Sabbath for plants here.
