Red Hot fight
Red Hot Chili Peppers’ front man Anthony Kiedis got into a squabble with security for the Rolling Stones over the weekend … and it was caught on tape. The bizarre incident quickly gets out of control but is extinguished as fast as it flared up. What happens is Kiedis and a female companion approach the front of the Four Seasons in Philly where apparently The Stones security is hanging out. With tabloid cameras running across the street, Kiedis tries walking through security and they physically stop him. He gestures. Security pushes back, then at one point it looks like Kiedis is put in a headlock. Someone yells out “That’s the lead singer of the Chili Peppers. He has slippers from the Four Seasons on” After the no-more-than-ten-second-fight, Kiedis shakes the guard’s hand. Meanwhile, the camera guy for TMZ is heard saying “Harvey, I got something for you!” It should have been the paparazzi that got roughed up by security.
Get ready for a September 24th release date for Korn’s latest album. The band’s 11th studio album, and the first in ten years with original guitarist Brian “Head” Welch, has been dubbed by members of the band as the best album to date. Korn drummer Ray Luzier posted to Instagram the album date saying they just did a press conference in France where they played the press a few samples of the new album. There’s still no detail about the title of the album or a possible track-listing.
Double platinum auction
An animal shelter that was severely damaged by the recent Oklahoma tornadoes is getting a little bit of a boost from Tool and A Perfect Circle front man Maynard James Keenan. The website Beleaver.com says that Maynard, through his trainer, is auctioning the platinum records for Tool’s Undertow album and APC’s Mer De Noms with all the proceeds to go to the Animal Resource Center.
