The QLZ Music Minute--Music news written by Bishop for Springfield’s Real Rock, 92.7 QLZ
If you couldn’t make it to see Nine Inch Nails on their most recent arena tour across the US, don’t worry. The band has made one of their entire concerts available to view online. The VEVO music channel on YouTube put together a pro-shot mix of an entire Nine Inch Nails concert from their performance last month in Los Angeles. And apparently the band is prepping for a Blu-Ray/DVD and a digital release of the live show sometime in the Spring of 2014. The release will include a ton of additional content. Be sure to sign up at the special Nine Inch Nails website for the “Tension” tour. Doing so will sign you up for an alert when the pre-order is ready.
Speaking of live shows, Don’t miss out on QLZ’s Sly Bell Ball at Bunkers in Illiopolis. That show, featuring Pop Evil, The Letter Black and others is this Saturday! We’ll see you there!
Canceled Cornell show
Fans hoping to see Chris Cornell last night in Miami were put out after the singer canceled a show because of a shoulder injury. The Soundgarden front man is also having to cancel his show in St. Petersburg. The injury occurred last week and he tried to perform but the strain was too much. He may actually have made it worse by trying to push it, so his doctor told him to rest up completely. Get well soon, Chris. Other members of Soundgarden are kicking back and chilling while Cornell does his solo deal. Drummer Matt Cameron is actually out with Pearl Jam right now preparing to support that band’s latest album, including a show tonight with Mudhoney in Seattle. They’ll be out overseas early next year.
