Icon For Hire to tour

Icon For Hire are taking to the road with a show in Springfield March 15th at Donnies Homespun. The local favorites were in studio with Lars Thursday to talk about their latest successes and other intimate details of why they do what they do. Front woman Ariel says that the fans give them the fuel to continue doing what they do. The 14 date tour kicks off in Grand Rapids, bounces to Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Alabama, and then Florida, Tennessess and ends in Kentucky. That’s a lot a road time. Safe travel, guys … and gal!

Gathering lands in Ohio

If you want to get to The Gathering, you’re gonna have to travel to Thomville, Ohio, this summer. It seems, after months of uncertainty as to where they’d have their epic Gathering of the Juggalos, Insane Clown Posse and crew have decided to set up their annual festival at the Legend Valley Concert Venue. They had attempted to set up in Southern Missouri, but that fell through after local law enforcement realized what was headed their way. They wore their welcome out here in Illinois. The Gathering’s “four days of inhibited enjoyment” will be July 23rd to the 26th.

Guitarist vacancy

They’re still a band of brothers … they just had to shake things up a bit. More details are coming out about the lineup of Hellyeah. The band announced they’d parted ways with original guitarist Greg Tribbett and bassist Bob Kakaha just as they announced details of a new album. In a new interview with RockNLive.org, drummer Vinnie Paul says there’s a new bassist in town, and a new guitarist is still in the works. He says that the remaining band members have to make sure whoever joins the band is a quote “bro,” or someone everyone can feel comfortable around. As of right now, Kyle Sanders from Bloodsimple is on bass, but there’s a guitar vacancy. The new album Blood for Blood is due out June 10th.

New LP tune

Linkin Park have dropped their new tune on the interwebs. You can listen to “Guilty All The Same,” featuring rapper Rakim, on Soundcloud. Find the link at the band’s Facebook page.

The tune is expected to come from their upcoming as-yet-to-be-titled album. The band also announced a co-headlining tour with Thirty Seconds to Mars with a date in Chicago August 29th.
