Not really shocked by this one at all: The Pretty Reckless have secured a top spot on the rock charts with their single “Heaven Knows.” The chick-fronted rock band began its climb up the charts in recent months after having released the title track of their album Going to Hell. Surely the song’s popularity was assisted by the steamy video that features front woman Taylor Momsen playing the role of liberator for kids captivated by TV. The band will be in the US this April after they wrap up their current tour in Europe. They’ve got some festival appearances scheduled along with a performance at the 2014 Revolver Golden Gods Awards. The album Going to Hell is currently available via pre-order.
Suit filed against KISS
It’s never good when you get sued by a former band mate, especially when it’s alleged you withheld money that was due. It’s made even worse when it’s not even the former band mate suing … it’s those the band mate is survived by. That’s what’s being alleged by former KISS drummer and now deceased Eric Carr’s heirs. Though it was over 20 years since Carr died, the drummer’s heirs filed suit against the band for “untold payments” claiming Paul Simon and Gene Simmons withheld the money Carr’s estate is due. Carr passed away from heart cancer several decades ago. The lawsuit comes as KISS prepares to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame April 10th.
