So, with Motley Crue doing a farewell tour this summer, what will the band members be doing afterwards? We know that Vince Neil is investing in arena football teams. Mick Mars is gonna work on a solo album. Nikki Sixx is gonna continue to being a bitch towards anyone critical of him. And, news has it that Tommy Lee will take to the drums for a new Smashing Pumpkins album. On the Smashing Pumpkins website, front man Billy Corgan wrote that Tommy Lee will be behind the set in studio for all nine songs. The expected title of the forthcoming Pumpkins album is Monument to an Elegy. Wondering what an elegy is? It’s a sad poem or song to express sorrow. Now you know! Get tough. Go Joe.
New album in 2015
Five Finger Death Punch have confirmed they will push out a new album in 2015. Guitarist Zoltan Bathory told Billboard magazine that they already have five or six songs kicking around and by next spring they could put something out. The band is currently on the road playing festivals and headlining shows.
Forthcoming photo book
Who needs words when a picture is worth a thousand of ‘em! What about 600 pictures? Surely that’s worth hundreds of thousands of words, right? Well, more than 600 photos are gonna be used in a new autobiography about Jimmy Page. The book simply titled Jimmy Page will feature the collection of photos, like scans of his passports and other mementos from his life to show of the life and times of the Led Zeppelin guitarist. The book is expected out in October.
Also, if you didn’t get a chance to see Metallica’s Through the Never when it made the rounds in the theater, you can watch it now on Netflix.
