Legal defense fund
Looking to get some great schwag and also help out a legal defense fund? Lamb of God is selling off a ton of memorabilia to help pay off front man Randy Blythe’s legal bills. He’s accused of pushing a fan off stage back in 2010. That fan died days afterwards and Blythe was arrested in Prague, held for weeks and later released on bail. He says he’ll head back to Prague to stand trial and clear his name, but that’s gonna cost money! On eBay, the band has put up for sale some equipment they’ve used on stage. Other rockers have contributed including Megadeth bassist Dave Ellefson, Slash and Five Finger Death Punch.
Give them permission
Linkin Park is getting all Big Brother on us. They’re using your Facebook photos in their new music video. You have to give them permission, but still it’s kinda creepy. If you’re interested in having your personal photos from Facebook used in their video for “Lost in the Echo,” you need to go to the website LostInTheEcho.com and give them Facebook permissions. The video features some dude in a post-apocalyptic world where he passes a ton of Facebook photos. There’s a preview of the video (without all the photos) online. Linkin Park is currently on the Honda Civic Tour with Incubus.
Biography out October
Slash is ready to release a biography about his rock star life. The book, titled Slash: An Intimate Portrait, and written by Richard Bienstock should hit shelves sometime in October. There will be stories and about 100 unpublished photos all centered around Slash.
